The Department of Hindi was established in 2001. Hindi is taught as a general subject from year 2002. It is now a special subject and a full time. B.A. Hindi degree can be acquired. Knowledge of Hindi Language is very important as Hindi is the National Language of India. Hindi Department always encourages students to participate in various activities such as “Hindi Din”.

Hindi department always imparts Value education to Students. Teaching staff of the department have a great contribution in creative writing and translation.
The department also organizes storytelling, poem reading, singing, acting, debate, essay writing, Hindi ad making competitions.

These events help in enhancing language proficiency and personality development of the students.
The department conducts ‘Cine Saptah’ in which movies related to Hindi literature are shown to the students to increase interest in Hindi.
